Capital Spend Data is collected via the Capital spend and additional places return.

Guidance on how to use the online portal is given in the CSD User Manual. The SCAP 2018 Guidance provides advice on what should be recorded for each data item. Both guides can be found on from the week commencing the 4th of June.

Local authorities will have the option to complete the return within the online portal or via an excel template. If using the template, which can be downloaded directly from the portal, local authorities will still need to upload the template back into the online portal to submit the return.

The capital spend and additional places return will be pre-populated with the data submitted by each local authority from their 2017 return. There is no need to re-submit previous data for projects delivering places in 2016/17 or earlier unless you need to make changes, for example if some information has changed or information was previously incorrect.
